In 1980, as a result of the greatly reduced demand for steel windows we stopped manufacturing them, and have concentrated instead on "retrofit" work in office and apartment buildings. For this work we use all types of aluminum windows purchased from national companies, such as Three Rivers Aluminum Co., (TRACO), Efco Windows, Wausau Metals Corp., Champion Aluminum Window Corp., etc. In addition, we are the sole distributor in this area for the B.S.A. approved Pomeroy steel double hung Lot Line window, which is very much in demand in New York City. Kilroy employs between 35-60 plus persons, depending upon the work in hand, and these include a number of minority people who have been trained on the job over the years and who are now a stable part of our organization. All window installers are union members, belonging either to Local 580 Ornamental Ironworkers Union or Local 810, International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Kilroy maintains a complete in-house design and engineering staff including an in-house architect. Our professional staff combine over 200 years of design, engineering and installation experience. The Company is very well established and has an excellent reputation in its field, which is now concentrated in the New York Metropolitan area. Estimated business volume is currently between 10 and 15 million dollars.
